*- His coat
*- Previous clothes were ditched by Matthias somewhere (black shirt, jeans)
*- A formal ballroom-worthy suit in white and blue
*- Smartphone. Sadly it failed a save vs. water damage when he took an unplanned dip in the lake, and is now an ex-cellphone.
*- Digital camera. Waterproof/made to survive use underwater, basically a sport-camera, although smaller than what we'd be used to, and survived the dip in the lake.
*- Omamori - this actually is a talisman capable of suppressing some of the darker part of his soul from taking over.
*- Wallet, with ID, a debit card, a student ID, and a couple other cards
*- Earbud headphones. Slightly useless due to cellphone death.
*- Small pocket-knife
*- Sword with sheath, attached to his belt usually. It's a pretty well made sword, and in perfect condition for something that dates back to the First Crusade.

History
Night 015 - Arrived.

Night 017 - Already agitated and searching for Mina thanks to a phantom phone call, he encounters the Lady in White, runs past her in wolf form, turns around, goes back, dies.

Day 017 - Revives, coping with blurring - that whole pesky "same soul" thing.

Night 017 - Plays rearguard/rescue during the zombie attack in House 2. Anyone who was second house that night can feel free to handwave having seen a white bat flitting around/getting help with the zombies, he might not remember it all except as a blur of "ZOMBIES".

Day 018 - Greenhouse exploration - saw several interesting things, fell in the lake and killed his cellphone trying to work a rowboat, failed a save vs. flowers with a crit of 100; ended up stuck in wolf form. Had he stayed that way, he would've gradually regressed to being a normal wolf.

Night 018 - Gets mauled/eaten by Wallcrawlers after failing to make a corner in wolf form. Wakes up in the attic back to normal, if blurry.

Day 019 - Walked off with by other entity that suppresses/puts "Soma" entirely to sleep, but leaves "Matthias" awake and present; Matthias isn't thrilled with it, but takes advantage of this to take control, so that when "Soma" wakes up he's in the box now.
Matthias/Dracula encounters Little Miss, gets completely rolled; between some abuse of power on him and him panicking, "Matthias" shatters as a separate will, leaving Soma in sole control and with all thousand years worth of memories barring some other meddling or screw-up.

Night 021 - Following directions from Miss at Midnight, managed to get behind the clock while it was broken... and promptly ended up spending the rest of the Night holding tools and things for someone working on machinery in some hidden room.

*- He speaks English, Spanish, and Japanese fluently. If he thinks for a minute he can actually understand a few archaic European dialects, although it's more likely to happen accidentally because he does freak out a bit when it happens.

*- He might sum up what he is as "I'm an it's-complicated". He was born a living human, but with the tie to Eternal Night and shards of Matthias's power, which pushed him halfway to the vampires of his world; then drawing on the power of the Castle, even in the busted up state it was in without solid control, meant shoving that a bit further, so it's technically still there even when it's suppressed. He probably COULD slowly build power reserves and all by feeding off others, but the thought freaks him out, and since he doesn't NEED to feed, he tends to ignore/avoid the subject. Based off things said about Alucard/Adrian, it doesn't mean he doesn't get cravings, and I've generally assumed there would be a mild sort of high associated with feeding, particularly after going a long time without, as well as triggering some of the more inhuman traits harder for a while.

*- He gets fragments of Matthias's memories, often as nightmares/dreams, and some of his "I-am-not-Matthias" persona blurs when he's half-awake, tired, or out of it; this would probably also go for drunk/drugged too.

*- He doesn't currently have the supernatural resistances built up in a way that would affect some tolerances; he's a lightweight for alcohol.

*- He eats like a teenage boy/college bachelor left to his own devices.

1) His aura. If you are able to sense things, he has a VERY strong aura of darkness and doom and creepy around him; he's basically willpower and a few personal choices from being The Lord of Darkness, so he DOESN'T read like something that should be friendly. Someone with more specific senses, telepathy, and the like MIGHT even notice that there's technically something MUCH older and MUCH less pleasant locked away back behind him, as it were, and that said entity is very much not happy to be trapped that way - he's dormant, mostly, but there's still some struggle to it. As of Day 019, Matthias sort of shattered. Basically the aura now has a slowly diffusing fade between the outer nineteen-year-old and the thousand year old vampire lord; the actual boundary's gone and its blending together and sorting.

If you are NOT able to sense weird things, it still registers subconsciously - he'll basically give people the vibe of "very large dangerous dominant predator". Basically, whether he's trying to be scary or not, it ends up being a subconscious "something about him is creepy and dangerous and wrong", no matter how he's acting. This is why his social skills are crap - 99% of the human race picks up on the "big dangerous horror movie predator" vibe and is Very Unfriendly. The "volume" on it gets turned down when he's in animal form, and gets worse if he's agitated, upset, angry, or actively trying to Look Bigger.

Canonically, though, people who are aware of it or have had some chance to get used to it seem to be able to ignore it fairly easily ... granted those people are either ones that've known him since childhood, or people who were already used to Alucard/Adrian, who has the same aura. Of course, people's reactions to someone "seeming very creepy and predatory" are going to apply; there's likely to be a higher percentage of people here where it'd be IC to take it in stride than he's used to.


2) He has white hair and eyes that're light blue to silver-grey depending on the lighting. It's NOT normal for humans on his world. If he's agitated, he'll often get fangs, and may or may not realize it; if he's agitated, pissed enough, or starting to go actually a bit more night-creature predatory, his eyes turn yellow and slit... or red if he's going full-bore and possibly edging his control dangerously. He doesn't actually know about this part yet himself; he's never been around a mirror when it's happened, and nobody's really had a reason to comment.
If Matthias is in control, his eyes will be red and stay that way.

His fangs are now permanently out. During the day or if he's got the omamori and is a little more suppressed, his eyes might return to the silver-ish color, but they're pretty much going to be gold-to-red usually depending on how much power he's using and how agitated he is.

He is still adjusting, and is going to have some weird hiccups between thousand years of vampire instinct and nineteen years of suppressing it.


3) He's not very good at sensing things in human form, but his wolf form DOES have a typical wolf sense of smell - if there's anything special he'd scent about your character that wouldn't be obviously apparent, tag and let me know.


4) He's kind of two people - he's a reincarnated soul that's rejected his past self enough for there to be an identity-splinter going on. Under normal circumstances, the better he's doing at self control and that rejection, psychics and others might pick up on the fact that there's some part of him that's MUCH older, bigger, and darker/nastier that has a will of its own that DOESN'T match Soma's. If he's angry or agitated, there'll be blurry patches where bits of it leak forward and blend into his own will, behavior, and thought patterns.

On better days, he DOES sometimes "argue with himself", and "Matthias"/"Dracula" in back WILL try to slip things forward to undermine him psychologically.

The boundary's been erased until further notice; as mentioned above, it might be possible to tell that there was a schism and that some of the more recent/"younger" parts of him don't always match the "older" parts, but he's a thousand year old soul in a nineteen year old body that's separated things for a while and is now getting to sort it all out.

He has a talisman he pretty much always wears around his neck, under his shirt; it helps suppress it, and does result in that "darkness" and other will being quieter.

(Right now he'll probably wear it in the daytime or during times when he's trying to get some "mental quiet"/break from figuring out wtf, but have it in an inside coat-pocket or other secure place at night to avoid it interfering with his abilities.)
